HeartCode courses combine online learning with hands-on CPR skills practice to ensure competency. Students complete the online portion of the course at their own pace, anytime and anywhere they have Internet access. Students then attend a hands-on skills session with an AHA Instructor or voice-assisted manikin (VAM), where available, to ensure CPR and automated external defibrillator (AED) skills competence.

Heartcode BLS
HeartCode BLS is the AHA’s blended learning delivery method for the BLS Course (for healthcare providers) HeartCode BLS blended learning delivers quality resuscitation education regardless of where providers are located and gives them more control to complete the course at their own pace. Providers first complete the online portion of HeartCode BLS and then complete a hands-on skills session with an AHA BLS Instructor or on a simulation station.
Heartsaver Step by Step
CPR AED Heartsaver Blended Learning
Heartsaver Online is the eLearning portion of the Heartsaver Blended Learning Course and teaches information needed for first aid training. Upon completion of the online portion, students must complete a hands-on skills session with an AHA Instructor.
Upon completion of the online portion, students must complete hands-on skills session with an AHA BLS or Heartsaver Instructor.
